Were you ever excited for something in your life to happen? Like the school trip, visit of a long not seen friend, the wedding day, or the birth of the first child.
June 27, 2026, the day of my first ever event with readers in the form discussion, was one of those for me. I was excited to connect with new readers, to speak to them of what matters to me, to hear their stories.
I was not disappointed. Despite the rain and gray skies outside, the atmosphere inside was warm and welcoming. My husband, Jay, took the role of the Master of Ceremony. Tanairi, older daughter, with her talent of shooting good candid photos, was assigned to that job. Taino, my oldest, was behind the bar. Timothy, as the mayer of the place, supervised it all. It was heart warming to have almost my whole family there. Tiffany helped me edit the video. So her input in the event is visible too.
Laura Deal, my friend, was a moderator. She prepared well, and surprised me on many occasions with the questions. The audience participated by asking curious questions. Sometimes with a little push from me. “There must be a question you would like to ask me?!”, I prompted gently here and there.
Conversation. Laughter. Many shared hugs and smiles. All that I love! 🥰
✨Big thank you to Milford Hospitality Group and the 403 Broad Staff for warm welcome. Kasia Lojewska (Behind the French Door) thank you for coming up with the idea of creating this event.
✨ Laura, you have proved to be a great friend, again! 🥰
✨ My family, having you there made it very special and memorable.
✨ All who were part of the event, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me!
I am looking forward to more gatherings like that in the future. They lift me up. They energize me. They make me come alive.
And this is what life is about. Living it with a passion.
