On Saturday, December 6, 2025, I held my Meet the Author event at the Pike County Public Library in Milford, PA.
It was an afternoon dedicated to connection, conversation, and stories — surrounded by books and a warm, welcoming community. During the event, I had the opportunity to meet readers in person, read excerpts from Karina: One Woman’s Journey from Fear to Freedom, speak about my personal journey, and answer thoughtful questions.
But this event was also something more personal for me.
I was in charge of it.
I was the director, executor, and guest.
You name it.
I was nervous. Of course.
I also knew that I would pull it off.
I promised myself to be me, follow my heart, and speak directly from it.
And this is what I did.
I spent one hour with wonderful women, telling them my story, reading excerpts from the book, and answering questions. The conversation we held was meaningful, honest, and deep — touching on themes of life, courage, change, and self-discovery.
The event was a success… for me!
Not because everything was perfect — but because I showed up fully, stayed present, and allowed myself to be seen and heard. I left feeling grateful, grounded, and proud.
Thank you to everyone who joined me, listened, asked questions, and shared space with me that afternoon. These moments of connection are the reason I write.
